The 2019 CAGT Conference: A Gifted State of Mind
Our Annual State Conference is held every October. This professional conference offers over 70 presentations from experts in the field of gifted education and has an annual attendance of over 800 educators, administrators, parents and community members. If you are interested in submitting a proposal for the 2019 conference, Call for Proposals will open in March. Registration for Conference will be open in May and other events like Leadership Forum and Parent Institute will open over the summer. If you are wanting to be a vendor or sponsor of any of our conference events, Exhibitors and Sponsorship opportunites will be available in June. Also don't forget to join us for Creativity Night which is the Sunday night before conference!
This professional event is co-sponsored with the Colorado Department of Education and will be held Tuesday morning, October 22, 2019. Leadership Forum is an extended session inviting leaders in education to engage in conversation on important issues facing gifted education. It is also time for district teams to gather for collegial discussion during the conference. We encourage administrators, coordinators, directors and GT leaders throughout the state to attend this informative and inspiring event. More information and registration will be available next summer.
Colorado Scholars, Distinguished Students, CAGT Leadership Awards and CAGT Leaders in Action Scholarships
Each year CAGT recognizes and honors people in our GT community from across the state for their outstanding achievements and contributions in the field of gifted education. Please begin thinking about an educator, administrator, parent, student, or community member who you feel is deserving of one of these awards or scholarships. Nominations and applications will begin to open in April 2019. These individuals will be celebrated at our 2nd Annual Awards Night on Monday evening, October 21, 2019, so please join us!
The CAGT Conference Call for Proposals opens in March!
Call for the Proposals for our fall conference, A Gifted State of Mind will open this March. Please consider sharing your knowledge and expertise about our gifted children and their unique needs at our conference October 21 and 22, 2019. We hope to hear from you next spring!
