This year’s CAGT conference theme was The Many Faces of Gifted.  The focus was on the uniqueness of each gifted child. There was so much to learn and participate in at the CAGT conference.  In addition to the wonderful keynote speakers, over eighty breakout sessions were offered.

These breakout sessions offered conference attendees the opportunity to better individualize their conference experience according to their interests and to the needs of the gifted children they support. Topics included  teaching strategies, socio-emotional sensitivity, parenting, creativity, technology, math, the arts, and advocacy. Some sessions addressed the concerns of particular populations such as students of color, students with learning disabilities, and students from rural areas.

Having so many sessions to choose from also meant there were many more breakout sessions than anyone could possibly attend. Fortunately, many conference presenters offered their handouts/powerpoints. Go to the day of the conference listed below and you will see the schedule of breakout sessions for that day with live links for each session. From here you can see descriptions of each session, the presenter(s)' bio, and links to the session's handouts/powerpoints if these have made available to CAGT.

Of course nothing is as good are hearing from the presenters themselves, but this is still a great way to catch up on some sessions you might have missed or to review ones you found particularly meaningful.
